Don’t have much to say tbh other than, I’m really proud of this update.
What’s new?
- Added a intro sequence, having a name serves no purpose yet and had to scrap the dialogue tree, because of lack of time. can be skipped by clicking on your map.
- 3 new animations, now every unit available can be harvested and breed.
- Added loyalty stat, a level 5 loyalty is now required to breed your units, in order to gain loyalty,the PC needs to harvest each unit, loyalty will be linked to the PC charisma stat, more is planned with this stat.
-finished constitution stat, units now require to have at least 1 point of constitution to be able to breed/be harvested, constitution replenishes by sleeping on the bed located at the base location.
- 1st harvesting quest added, exchange 20 bottles of demon cum for a key item.
- 1st house upgrade added,use the key item gained from the harvesting quest and unlock the shed.
- Eggs, eggs will begin spawning once the shed upgrade is unlocked. Each egg takes 5 in game days to hatch. (trying to breed the eggs will crash the game)
- Simplified Boiler puzzle, since it was not fun, simply solve it by destroying it.
- Added a second cat girl to the 1st dungeon,find the key to the classroom and capture her (the key is still named token, forgot to change the name)
Remember to take notes of their patterns so if you miss one you can capture the other.
- Added a couple more names to the random name generator.

clicking on the about button will crash the game.
game crashes when switching between fullscreen and nomal.
will fix them asap.
What's next?
Given the results of the last poll I'll be focusing on gameplay, mostly fixed stat variations for every new character that will depend on their parents genetic potential.
For example: werewolfs will give a +2 to strenght but a -1 to agility while catgirls will give a + 2 agility and a -1 to intelligence breeding these 2 will give their spawn 2 extra points of strenght and 1 extra point of agility.
these gains will be capped tho, depending on the level of quality of the units involved.
for example a D ranked unit will be capped at level 10 while a S ranked unit will be capped at level 50.
the better the unit the faster their growth will be.
there will also be the addition of traits.
having this ready will pave the way to a neat combat system. so be excited.

Plans for V.0.2
I've been
getting a ton of feedback on what works,what doesn't and what needs to be
fixed so,after taking everything into consideration, I've made a list for the
most pertinent stuff.
The
following changes will be present in V.0.2
1.- Exec
file that doesn't require installation.
2.- Fix the
pressing M while on the breeding menu crashing the game bug.
3.- A pop
up message to tell the player if he wins or loses during the capture minigame
and win or lose conditions.
4.- To have
the omni and wolf character already added into the pc and the removal of their
sprites in game.
5.- The
addition of clues so players can get an idea on how to solve the puzzles.
6.- To
automatically enter or exit a room, w/o the need to press e.
7.-
Selecting the werewolf and omnibus first should play the animation without the
need of having to select the catgirl first.
8.- Players
will be able to spawn new units while on the breeding menu.
9.- A fix
to resolution issues. (this includes animations and reported screen problems)
10.- To be
able to open the map when clicking on the map symbol.
11.- The
addition of 3 more animations.

After this
planned update there'll be 1 animation for every available character, which
means I should be able to explore the possibility of adding a male or futa MC.
so a poll may be needed.
As for the
time frame of when this update will roll in. It should take between 6 to 8
weeks. assuming nohing dumb happens at work or shool.
So, yea.
guess that's it for now. I will be continuing replying messages and posts so
don't expect any of those annoying radio silences.

What is Demon Hunt Squad?
A monster breeding sandbox-ish HRPG made in game maker
where you get to catch, breed and train a variety of characters so you can form
your own invincible demon army as you explore the postwar ruins of the skeleton
city, uncover mysteries, solve puzzles, do quests and overcome enemies along
the way.

but I may end up changing the sprites)

01 What’s this game about?
The game is meant to be a sandbox-ish monster
breeding HRPG where you get to catch, breed and train a
variety of characters so you can form your own invincible demon army as you explore
the postwar ruins of the skeleton city, uncover mysteries, solve puzzles, do
quests and overcome enemies along the way.
02 Combat
You may be asking how do you even capture a Demon?
Well, I believe simple is best. It will work with a Rock Paper Scissor type of
approach in which you´ll have to look for the enemy attack patterns ensuring
short but challenging battles.
So do I just go
out there and capture them like in Pokémon?
Kind off, There won´t be random encounters and their
numbers are limited also you´ll have to met certain requirements before you can
begin the hunt. So go out there, explore the Dungeons and catch them all.
Are there any
plans of an actual combat system?
There is also a much bigger d&d esque,turn based
combat system I´d like to implement where the traits and stats of your units
will affect their abilities so depending
on the situation you’ll have to guide the best suited members of your demon
army into battle to secure locations, obtain resources, gain allies or just
satisfy your own selfish needs. But that´ll be once the game is a bit more
fleshed out.
03 Scavenging
and trade
Exploration is meant to be rewarded with unique items you
can sell or use and abilities you can teach to your units, you are also going
to need goods and services to enhance your troops and build your base. These
two things don’t come in cheap.
To keep everything balanced and to give the H-portion
of the game a bigger role the closest thing to trade in game will be non
repeatable breeding quests
These quests will basically be bringing demons to
certain characters that will reward you as long as said demons meet their stats
and traits requirements.
Once you are rewarded with the know-how and resources
to make stuff it is all matter of creating it.
Each unit will have its own inventory chosen by you,
said inventory will have limited uses per battle so don’t expect to potion spam,
items won’t be 1 use only and the only way to lose them is if you lose the unit
also no combat loot so don´t expect daily trips to grind-ville.
As for the base building, most of it will be aesthetic
only carrying few bonuses for your units here and there.
04 Dungeons
The plan is to build 9 more Dungeons of variable sizes
for you to explore. Each filled with different puzzles, demons to capture,
loot, battle events with a variety of factions and other dangers.
Maybe even include secret Dungeons for special
Breeding events.
Not to mention several other locations where quests
will take place like towns, caves, forests, old world ruins.Etc.
05 Breeding
Interspecies breeding between the 10 available demons
will give you new characters with a range of genetic potentials received from
the sum of their parents, with some fixed addition and subtraction here and
there. This new spawn character will be the same species as the parents with
the exception of certain combinations that will yield different results for
example:
Catgirl+Werewolf= Catgirl/Werewolf but Harpy+Bazilisk=
Cockatrice
Will I be able
to create my own OC waifu through a customization menu?
Although customization wasn't the highest priority for
the demo, I’m a sucker for it especially in RPG´s, so yeah, expect hairstyle,
color and a couple of aesthetic variations.
Will there be neoteny,
gender bend, half breed, anthro, futa and feral variations for each of those 10
base monsters?
It is intended to have a good variety of all that in
the base game + pregnancy scenes, As for variations of each. It may be possible
but only for certain characters and once we are done with the10 base units and
all of their combinations. I don´t really want to expand content without
finishing the planned one first.
Wait a minute
10 base monsters, the possibility of creating complete new combinations,
customization, several locations and battle events? That sounds overly
ambitious.
It is! I don´t wanna simplify the magnitude of this
project. We are talking about a shit-ton of work but with strict and careful
planning, It can be done. We have the experience and technology.
